Haircut!

Well, It has been 2 years since I cut my hair. I chose to cut my hair for Locks of Love 2 years ago and when I did that I wanted to do it again. So I decided to grow my hair out and it had finally got long enough to cut. (and I was getting tired of it!) So I called a good friend of mine and asked her if she could help me. Korah was more than willing to help out. I also talked to Kisha about cutting Lindsey's hair and she decided that that was a great idea. We went together and had a great time. I really love my new look!!

Measuring to make sure there is enough.

And for the cut!

Here it is.

I think I was a little excited?

From the back.

And a little papering with a great style.

I think it is adorable.

Stock Show 2010

Well another Stock Show come and gone.
The boys did great.
Riley walked away with a first, Nolan didn't do as good this year as he did last year but he did get 2 thirds. Caleb on the other hand cleaned house!! He won breed champion and reserved breed champion. I guess they all get their years to shine. Maybe next year we can spread it around between the three of them. Then in 1 more year Evan will be there and it will be Riley's last year. What great adventures we get to have.

Riley's 1st place

Nolan's 3rd place.

Caleb's Breed champion

I always loved hanging out at the stock show. I am glad to see my boys are getting to follow in my footsteps.

My favorite part of the week, SALE!!

Now to get ready for next year. Wish us luck.

Family Christmas

We had our annual Dutcher Family Christmas Party this year and it was a lot of fun. We did a few things different this year. Usually we have it in someones house but our family is getting to big for that. So this year we had it at the convention center. We also had a talent show. What fun that was. We have a very talented family.

Standing around talking about STUFF before dinner.

Richard started off our talent show by field stripping 2 different guns at the same time!!

Then Lindsey, Telly and Jennifer showed us a new dance.
Then we all got in on it.

William even had fun dancing!

Mom and Dad did a poem called "the Cowboys Christmas ball"

Lindsey and Grandy sang a song together.
While Uncle Richard and Charly hung out together.

Then we got a GREAT cooking demonstration from Leanne and Lindsey.

Riley played for us.

And Kisha taught Kyle how to be a stay at home Daddy!!

Then the boys sand to us

There were many many more. Everyone really enjoyed it. We always look forward to our family get togethers. All and all we had a great time.

Crash

Well, I didn't take any pictures and I should have but my van is in the shop this week. Riley had his first really good wreck, and he actually had two. The first one, he backed into my dad's carport. He didn't think he hit it that hard, but it put two pretty big dents in the back corner of the van. Then about 10 days later he turned to sharp into a pole. That one really hurt the van. It cratered the passenger side pretty good. We couldn't close the doors. They would close just enough to hold shut but the back door wouldn't latch. Needless to say we have to get it fixed (and we are going to go ahead and get the scratch fixed that I put in it when I ran over the mailbox ;) ). He is ok but he wasn't very happy with himself. I still love him. My flames will not be there when I get it back, but that just gives me a good reason to get new ones!! Green and gray and black!! Go Loboes!!

Reading

My Nolan, he is an interesting "little" boy. He is determind to get 200 AR points by the end of the year. He wants to go to a rockhound game!! He almost has 150 points. His 1st 6 weeks 27.5 points, 2nd 6 weeks 27.5, 3rd 35, so far we are 3 weeks into the 4th and he has 41.4 points. He is in the middle of a book that will give him 5 more and his teacher is reading a book that will give him another 5. I don't think he is going to have any problems making 200. Oh, and his teacher set a goal for him at the beginning of the year to get 15 points each 6 weeks. He scoffed at that. What a kid. I actually have to ground him from reading when he is not getting homework done or chores done.

Wisdom Teeth

Poor Riley didn't want to miss any school this year so we had to schedule getting his wisdom teeth out for when he wasn't in school. That would be over Christmas break. So on December 22 we got his wisdom teeth taken out. He was so swollen, and he really had a hard time eating anything. He looks much better now. The swelling went down after about a week. He also is getting braces. He already has the top brackets on to help bring in a tooth that has decided it didn't want to be apart of the rest of them. He will have braces longer than normal because of this tooth. He sure does take it well though.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. Mom and Dad were supposed to go to Ft. Worth to spend a few days with Leanne and Lindsey but they got turned around because the weather was so bad and the roads were closed. It was nice having them here. Since everyone but me lived in that area for a while, they haven't been here for Christmas in a few years. We opened all our presents in our new house and Santa brought all our gifts there.
The boys all got aprons for Christmas from mom and dad. Kisha made all of them. She did a great job.
Richard and I got Aprons too. Aren't they cute.

William got some good stuff from santa.

This is Evan's new stuff for his bedroom. When we get all the walls painted and everything up I will post it.
Nolan and Caleb's room is outerspace. We are having fun with it right now. We are trying to get everything up and I think it is looking good.

Riley's room is Dallas Cowboys. We are pretty much done with his room. He has a mess in there right now because he has boxes he is going through. I need to get in there with him and help him figure out what to keep and what to throw away.

The boys wanted books for Christmas so they got BOOKS. Nolan has really got into the Animorphs series so Santa brought him the entire set. He was happy. He also has got Caleb and Riley interest in them, so these were good for everyone.

All in all I think it was a wonderful Christmas. Probably the best we have had. I know the boys were happy and Richard and I have been very busy getting there rooms decorated and unpacking.
